3/5/04 Edgewater NJ- For Immediate Release NFL Network team cams nominated for Sports Emmy- The NFL Network announced today that their Team Cam network powered by High Speed Videos breakthrough technology has been nominated for an Emmy in the category of Technical Achievement. Nominees for the 25th Annual Sports Emmy Awards were announced on March 4, 2004 by the National Television Academy.
The announcement was made before a large gathering of senior executives from the world of sports and entertainment, at Octagon/ Street & Smith’s World Congress of Sports at the Four Seasons Hotel in Newport Beach, CA. The Sports Emmys are given to sports broadcasters and industry professionals for programming, on air, and technical excellence. Peter Price, President of the National Television Academy, was joined by Rick Dudley, President and CEO of Octagon Worldwide and Richard Weiss, Publisher of the Street & Smith’s Sports Business Journal, in announcing the nominees of the 27 categories.
“It’s an honor to announce these deserving nominees in such an appropriate context,” said Price, “With the Sports Emmy Awards we proudly recognize the outstanding quality and professionalism in all areas of sports broadcasting.”
The 25th Annual Sports Emmy Awards will be presented at a black-tie dinner ceremony on Monday, April 19th at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. Congratulations to the team at High Speed Video and Mike Maresca for this monumental accomplishment!
