High Speed’s system includes a full-featured camera that offers remotely-controlled pan, tilt, zoom, and focus functions; a low-profile, omni-directional high-gain desktop microphone; and High Speed’s specially designed Coder-Decoder (CODEC), the heart of the system that makes it possible for the company to offer such exceptional broadcast-quality videoconferencing services. The CODEC makes it possible to connect multiple devices to the conference including DVD players, a VCR, additional cameras, a document camera, or a computer. The basic configuration also includes a high-speed circuit that connects the videoconferencing unit to High Speed’s Network Operations Center.
